Salient Features
The word library is derived from French "librairie" which means ‘book’. Library is a stimulus to reading; it helps develop a reading habit. Library is an apt place of wisdom useful for zealous students. The Central Library is a standing invitation to students to read books, newspapers, periodicals and other resources. Central Library provides calm areas for reading, it has a studious atmosphere, as you enter, and you will find lots of shelves occupied by books.
Central Library - Salient Features
Central Library which is functioning under the open access system is having a total collection of 16200 volumes. The approximate annual addition is about 1250 volumes. Circulation (i.e. issue and return of books) takes place through electronic and automation system and provide Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to our users in the LAN.
